How To Remove Hair Dye From Wooden Furniture?
As many of you know in the past I have written all about hair dye stains and how to remove them from carpets, upholstery, and clothes. After all, I dye my hair once a month and I know all about staining your favourite white shirt and your favourite carpet. However, I have yet to talk about hair dye stains on wooden furniture – and how to remove them. But today, I will fix my mistake and show you exactly how to treat these stains no matter if you stained your wooden table, wooden chair, or wooden floors!
I have prepared two incredible stain removal methods that are easy, cheap, and super effective. You don’t need any fancy detergents to apply them – just a few household natural ingredients you already have at home! And don’t worry – you won’t waste a few hours of your fay scrubbing, as I said, both of these removal methods are super easy to follow!
So How To Remove Hair Dye Stains From Wooden Furniture?
– The First Method I Will Show You
Start off with mixing two cups of warm water, a tablespoon of baking soda, and a tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent in a bowl. Then dip a cloth in the mixture and start rubbing the stained area.
Rub until the hair dye stain is removed completely.
If you have been rubbing for over 15 minutes and you notice that the stain is not even fading – move on to the second method. In some cases, whenever the hair dye is really strong or it has already dried, this first method won’t show any effect!
– The Second Method I Will Show You
For this method, you will need to mix equal amounts of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda in a bowl. Dip a clean cloth in the mixture and just like in the first method – start rubbing the stained area. I recommend you apply a bit of pressure as well.
Each time I have used this method, it has worked for me which is why I am certain you will be able to remove the hair dye stain from your wooden furniture very easily!
