How To Easily Remove Acrylic Paint From Jeans?
If you love painting – or your kid loves painting then you probably need to learn how to remove acrylic paint from jeans. After all, the most common piece of clothing that people wear is indeed jeans which means that people get paint on them very often.
Thankfully, removing acrylic paint isn’t that hard – especially when it’s on a clothing item that can be washed in a washing machine. Today, I will show you my favourite method for removing paint that I use very often. It’s easy to follow, doesn’t require any fancy cleaners or detergents, and it’s very effective!
What You Need?
Prepare rubbing alcohol, toothpaste, a butter knife to scrape the paint, a cloth, a thick towel, and a few paper towels or cotton balls depending on what you have available at home!
What To Do?
Start off with placing the towel I told you to prepare underneath the affected area. That way you will prevent the paint from bleeding through the fabric and spreading further on the jeans.
Then grab the butter knife and scrape as much paint as possible with it, however, be gentle and avoid aggressively scraping because you can damage the fabric!
Continue with pouring rubbing alcohol over the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before you blot the paint with either a cotton ball or a paper towel.
Repeat pouring rubbing alcohol and blotting the stain with the paper towel or cotton ball a few times. You can also use a toothbrush if the stain is really stubborn.
And once you are done – and the paint is removed, wash your jeans. But wash them in cold water!
